I didn't read any further because RAPE. In the first 13% of the book, we have a stepbrother selling the heroine for rape, an attempted rape by the buyer, AND a completed rape of the heroine by the hero. Yes, Ms. Mason, a man putting his penis in a woman's vagina without her enthusiastic consent (and, in your book, with her emphatic refusal) IS, in fact, RAPE, regardless of whether or not he breaks her hymen. I've read Ms. Mason's books in the past, but will no longer, as I do not and will not support authors that attempt to make rape part of a "romantic" plot. Rape is not romantic.
Excellent read! The book is exciting and sexy. Chemistry between H/h is great. I finished it in one afternoon. I recommend!
